Using Quartz Crystals and the Law of Attraction

Millions of people around the world have
become aware of the Law of Attraction since the publication of the book and
release of the movie The Secret. In this article I will review the
basic principles of the Law of Attraction and teach you another secret: how you
can bring even more powerful results into your life by using quartz crystals to
enhance the process of manifestation promised by the Law of Attraction.
Your Thoughts Determine Your Life
In a nutshell, the Law of Attraction says that the
reality that we experience in our lives—our degree of happiness, success, love,
and abundance—is determined by our thoughts and emotions. Whatever you focus on
most intently in your thoughts, whether good or bad, more of that comes into
your life, which we call manifestation.
Manifestation happens in 3 steps. These steps, expressed
in various ways, are used in many commercially available coaching systems and
other programs for self-improvement, wealth, and success:
- STEP 1: Your desire takes shape in your intentions,
dreams, and specific goals.
- STEP 2: The universe hears your call and holds your
desire for you in a field of potentiality.
- STEP 3: You align inwardly with a higher frequency
that allows the desired manifestation into your life.
In this article we will take a closer look at these
steps, and then I will teach you how to use quartz crystals to enhance the
manifestation process.
Putting the 3 Manifestation Steps into Action
STEP 1: Specify what it is that you
want. We have so many desires and wishes that we constantly send out, but
they need to be shaped in a specific way; otherwise they are random and lack
focused energy. Receiving fulfillment of your desires is like doing a google
search: in order to receive the exact returns that you want, you need to make
your request very clear and specific. If you do a google search for “house” you
will get 1.3 billion hits! That’s far too vague. If you search for “house, 2
stories, Maui, green, under $500,000” you will get far fewer hits as you narrow
in on your goal. The thoughts and requests that you send out to the universe
need to be extremely focused and specific. Visualize your exact desired outcome,
the purpose it is to serve, its exact qualities, and when you will achieve it.
In your mind, strongly see the end result of achieving your goal, perhaps even
better than you can imagine it now!
STEP 2: Trust that the universe has
heard your request. The second step happens without your conscious
awareness, so you don’t need to concern yourself with it. Be assured that the
universe will do its part to receive and hold as possibilities your stated
intentions.
STEP 3: Align with a higher
frequency. The third step is the work you have to do to achieve what you
want. To repeat, whatever you focus on you will attract into your life.
If you focus on a problem that is very vexing to you, this is what you are
aligning yourself with—with the negative energies of the problem, not with the
thing you want instead of the problem.
Inevitably, problems do give us bad feelings. If you
choose to focus on those bad feelings, you are giving them more energy.
Fortunately, you can consciously choose to shift your attention to the solution,
or to what you want to bring into your life instead of the problem. If you do
this you will immediately notice that your inner state shifts to more positive
feelings. This opens your mind to a flow of ideas and solutions. You will
quickly feel you are mastering the problem rather than being disempowered by it.
So it’s vital to make a practice of continually
monitoring your inner state and readjusting your thoughts and feelings so that
they are ALIGNED WITH your intentions, rather than in opposition to them.
Negative thoughts oppose and negate your true desires. Positive thoughts and
feelings energize your true desires. If you adopt this monitoring and adjusting
habit, immediately substituting positive thoughts for negative, you will find
yourself feeling good most of the time and able to move beyond all obstacles
with resilience.
Using Crystals for Alignment
In addition to their great beauty, crystals have
metaphysical qualities that you can use in many fabulous ways to enhance
your life. The most enticing of these qualities is the ability of crystals to
store information for you and serve as a focal point for your intentions and
prayers.
A crystal is like a computer chip in which you can store
information. And in fact a computer chip is made out of silicon, the basic
ingredient of quartz crystals.
Crystals can help you with Step 3 of aligning yourself
consciously with your desires and dreams by raising your energy frequency,
aligning you with the flow toward your goals, and helping you to anchor yourself
is a positive inner state.
The Physical Qualities of Quartz Crystal
Quartz is the most common of all crystals, found all
over the world. It is composed of silicon dioxide, which is one of the most
plentiful compounds of our Earth’s crust.
It forms six-sided crystals growing from a milky base
toward a clear tip. It commonly grows in cluster and is often found in
combination with other minerals as well.
The Metaphysical Properties and Uses of Quartz
Crystals
Crystal quartz is very clear and translucent in its
appearance and therefore it is the manifestation of light and clarity
in the material realm. It symbolizes our striving for perfection in our inner
growth and raising our consciousness toward higher levels.
Astrologically crystal quartz represents the properties
of the Sun (light) and Saturn
(crystallization). It is the perfect stone to show you the way toward the
life-affirming light, lifting you up into a more positive inner state, calming
your mind, and helping you focus on what is important to you.
Quartz crystals can be used in these specific ways:
- Used in meditation, a quartz crystal will help you
to soothe your mind and relax. The perfect structure and alignment of the
crystal has the unique ability to deepen your meditation.
- You can use a quartz crystal to store your prayers,
mental images, and feelings and enhance your alignment with your visions.
- A quartz crystal placed in front of your computer
monitor and on the hard drive will help protect you against electro
smog.
How to Clean and Empty the Crystal of Old
Vibrations
Before you can properly use a crystal, it needs to be
purified to remove any old vibrations that it has picked up on its way to you.
Those would interfere with your positive exchange of energy with the crystal.
You want the crystal to be clean and empty for your own purposes.
You can create a cleansing ritual with the help
of the four elements: earth, fire, water and air. I prefer the following method,
which uses air:
- You sit with your
crystal in your hand and let your mind go quiet, breathing in and out.
- Hold your other hand
over the crystal and feel the energy field between your hands.
- Exhale sharply and
visualize blowing the old residual energy traces out of the crystal.
How to Program a Crystal with Your Intention
Before using your crystal, you will have created a sharp
picture in your mind of your goal and your intention, as described above. It is
best to use a different crystal for each of your goals, so the crystal will fire
up that specific vision each time you hold it.
The crystal needs to be programmed with your intention
or goal. Here’s how to do this:
- Hold the crystal in
both hands as above. Become aware of the energy field of the crystal between
your two hands.
- Focus intently on
your vision, intent, or goal. Imagine in it powerful clarity, as if you
really were experiencing the goal as already accomplished. Feel the strong
emotions of success and fulfillment associated with your goal.
- Release the image of
your goal with a sharp breath out.
Now you have stored that thought form and those emotions
in the crystal. This will strengthen your field of expectation, keeping you
tuned into the universe and calling the thing that you want toward you. In
programming your vision you have also planted an anchor in your energy field
that will keep your unconscious mind tuned to your vision.
Finally, sit down occasionally, holding your crystal,
and imagine again how good it will feel when you have reached your goal. Immerse
yourself in those feelings. This is what I call “firing up” your vision
periodically. This will raise your frequency in alignment with your goal and
allow it to flow toward you.
According to the Law of Attraction, in order to allow
the fulfillment of your desires to flow to you, you need to be open, receptive,
and on the right frequency. Crystals are a powerful mechanism for supporting the
process of manifestation by helping you to raise your frequency and stay tuned
into your desire.

I have been working with crystals all my life both for healing and scrying. I
instinctively wear one myself, intuitively place several on a client’s birth
chart - or on a client if I was seeing them face to face, or I hold one for a
few moments to energise it and then send it wherever it is needed. My home
always has crystals around because they feel good to me, and many are programmed
to help other people, or the world. But it wasn’t until I wrote The Crystal
Bible that I appreciated quite how many crystals there are, and the enormous
range of possibilities they encompass. Researching Crystal Prescriptions and The
Crystal Healing Pack took me back to the use of gemstones for healing in ancient
Mesopotamia, Egypt, India and beyond. For my M.A. in Cultural Astronomy and
Astrology I tracked the origins of the use of crystals with a horoscope over two
thousand years ago. It truly is an ancient science and has led me to looking at
the history of birthstones, which link my twin passions of crystals and
astrology, in much greater depth.
Crystals are objects of beauty and power. They can attract a soulmate; protect
you, your car and your home; energise or relax, and heal everyday ailments.
Crystals cleanse and invigorate the energies in your home and workplace, and
they can even change your future. I’d like to share with you some crystals that
I find particularly useful, many of these are old favourites but there are one
or two new ones too. Several of them can be found in The Crystal Healing Pack in
which I share crystal healing techniques using twelve master healers that form
an excellent ‘first aid’ kit for every level of your being.
Good vibrations
If you are surrounded by good vibrations your health and wellbeing are assured
and crystals have always been revered for putting out good vibes. I wear a
beautiful piece of Shattuckite and Ajoite. This stone protects against subtle
ill-wishing, connects me to higher levels of being, and offsets the effects of
mobile phone and Tetra masts as well as computers. If you, like me, are
sensitive to mobile phone emanations, then taping a piece of Black Tourmaline or
Smoky Quartz (which is in the Crystal Healing Pack) onto the phone works wonders
as it re-integrates your auric field. Black Tourmaline, Smoky Quartz and
Amethyst (also in the pack) are excellent for turning back ill-wishing or curses
and are highly protective when worn in a spiral around the neck – and,
traditionally, Amethyst has the added attraction of warding off inebriation. If
you want to keep your energy clear at all times, a Quartz crystal can be used to
‘comb’ all around your body about a foot out. It absorbs negative energy,
repairs weak spots in your biomagnetic field, and re-energies your whole body.
A Labradorite crystal (included in Crystal Healing) with its unexpected
scintillating flash of blue is a wonderful energy protector that also pulls in
spiritual power. It is an excellent stone for therapists and those who work with
other people as it enhances intuition whilst preventing taking on other people’s
problems or negative thoughts or energy.
I believe that intuitively choosing a crystal is the best way of all of
selecting exactly the right stone. I keep a selection cleansed and ready to
wear. Each morning I look casually at them, if one attracts my attention, I wear
it. And feel better for so doing. You could do the same with the twelve master
healers in the Crystal Healing Pack.
If you feel stressed out and need to relax, lying with the stones from the pack
on your chakras does the trick. It cleanses and re-energizes each chakra,
balancing them; helping you to relax and bringing about a sense of well being
and good health.
Healing the heart
Following the break up of a 20 year relationship a few years, my heart felt
somewhat battered and the crystal I found most soothing was Rose Quartz. In a
channelled message of hope and healing I was told not to let bitterness enter my
heart chakra. Rose Quartz gently melted the resentment I was feeling and healed
the abuse of trust, lifting away the bitterness. For many months I wore a
protective Rose Quartz pendant over my heart and slept with a piece under my
pillow to protect my dreams. I was able to use it to send forgiveness in a
ritual that I included in the Crystal Healing Pack because, with so many
relationships breaking up, people need help to do this.
To heal further, in meditation I would travel the whorls and labyrinths of
Rhodochrosite as I attuned the divine love at its heart. I also used Rose Quartz
in a ritual to take back my heart from the careless hands to which it had been
entrusted. When my heart felt whole again, I used the Green Aventurine and Rose
Quartz from the pack to reactivate my higher heart chakra, the place of
compassion and unconditional love.
Rose Quartz is also the stone to use if you want to attract more love into your
life. Place the largest piece you can find by your bed, and put one in the
relationship corner of your house too – this is the farthest right corner from
the front door. If you can find a crystal that has two equal sized crystals side
by side on a common base place this here too. Many Candle Quartzes can be found
in twin formations that spring from a joint base and they are excellent for this
purpose as they symbolise mutual support and loving interdependence. It will
attract a twinflame into your life: a twinflame being a soulmate without the
karma and without the hassle. Something we all need in our life!
Combating energy vampires
It is all too easy to lose energy to other people without really knowing why, or
even that it has occurred. The main symptom is a feeling of weariness or slight
depression, and very low energy. I used to think that this leaching happened
through the solar plexus but became aware that it happens to a greater extent
through the spleen chakra located about a hand’s breadth beneath the left
armpit. If you get a nagging pain there, or feel a tugging, then an energy
vampire is at work. This may be a family member, partner or friend, client or
work colleague. Fortunately the antidote is simple. Tape a Green Aventurine or,
if you are lucky enough to find one, a light green Aura Quartz crystal over the
chakra, or wear one on a long chain so that it reaches to the end of your
breastbone.
Living in a safe space
Crystals are an excellent way to ensure that you are in a good space.
Unfortunately these days most of us are bombarded with unseen electromagnetic
radiation, to which many people are sensitive. I live near an electricity
sub-station, not my first choice of location as I’m all too aware of the
potentially health depleting effects – although I have turned this around and
affirm that it will energise and realign me. As soon as moved in, I gridded the
whole garden with pieces of Black Tourmaline, positioning one at each corner. I
then placed Amazonite, Amethyst clusters and Smoky Quartz points on the
windowsills (with the points pointing away from the house to deflect the
energy). The house feels clear and, on dowsing, registers no averse
electromagnetic emissions. These stones are equally effective for any ‘bad
vibes’ that may be affecting your home or workplace. My computer is surrounded
with Fluorite and Lepidolite to further protect my energy but you could use the
Smoky Quartz, Sodalite or Amethyst from the pack for this.
Changing your life
And finally, if you want to change your life, find yourself one of the new Shift
Crystals. These amazing, high-energy stones formed from Quartz that was laid
down on Calcite. The Calcite then dissolved away leaving fissures and caverns
studded with beautiful crystals. When one was first put into my hand, I simply
could not let go. For years I have used a visualisation of travelling into a
crystal cave when leading meditations to find your soul purpose. Now that
crystal cave was in my hand and I could feel all my old programming dropping
away and the energies quite literally shifting as I attuned to my purpose. It
was a moment for which I had been preparing for over a year. Naturally I took
this new friend home, and I sit with it every night. I can feel my life changing
as I write.
